What is Duolingo? 



While learning a new language and getting help from books or dictionaries in the past, these tools have been replaced by digital platforms as we entered the age of technology. It is one of the language teaching platforms that helps you discover a new language on Duolingo. So, what's the main reason we've been hearing about Duolingo a lot lately? Students who will receive undergraduate or graduate education abroad must submit a language certificate with international validity in order to receive final acceptance. In order for Covid-19 to enter our lives and to experience curfews in many countries or to avoid the risk of disease, it is necessary to stay away from closed areas. For these reasons, students who will receive higher education abroad could not easily reach the exams demanded by universities. For this reason, major universities abroad have introduced the Duolingo English exam to make it easier for their students.

Learning languages with Duolingo is fun, and this research has proven that Duolingo works! With quick and time-consuming lessons, you'll earn points and unlock new levels as you gain real-world communication skills.

 What is Kahoot? What is Kahoot is a website that makes the repetition of the topics covered in the lessons more enjoyable thanks to the joint use of components such as mobile phones, computers, tablets and smart boards. The aim here is to learn in a fun way and to reinforce the course content. You can find content on many courses and topics on the site, or you can also prepare and use a re-exam (quiz) if you want. To summarize, it is an application for interactive online quizzes. Another alternative to Kahoot is Quizizz. In order to use the Kahoot application, we need to create an account. To create a new membership , let's click on the sign up link on the homepage of the Kahoot website . Since we need an account to create Kahoots, let's choose the link as a teacher. What is Storybird? Storybird is a free book creation site. Although its interface is in English, it is very easy to use and is a useful educational tool especially for language teachers such as Turkish, English and German. Students can read created books; They can write their own books, stories and poems. How to use? To read any book published on the Storybird site, it is sufficient to click on the "READ" category at the top when you first enter the site and choose one of the books that appear. If there is a projector or smart board in the classroom, you can easily find a book on the site and read it as a class. However, an account is required to create a book. One of the nice things about it is that the teacher can open an account, create a class, and invite students with the class code. Even parents can be included if desired.
