 What Is Edpuzzle And How Does It Work?



Edpuzzle is one of the virtual classroom applications that can be used in flipped classroom applications. Edpuzzle application is a useful and free virtual classroom application where you can edit videos using any video on the internet, narrate with your own voice, add voice notes, add questions for your students and review the answers given by the students to the questions added to the videos, and check whether the student watches the video you have created.

You can upload videos on your computer or mobile device into the system, or you can create your lectures by adding videos from sources such as "Youtube", "Ted", "Khan Academy", "Learn Zillion" provided to you in the system. Now let's see step by step how the application is used.

Thanks to Edpuzzle, you can directly access video content such as Youtube, Khan Academy, National Geographic, TED Talks through the application and use them in your lessons. In addition, you can access the content previously prepared by other teachers, as well as create your own content by uploading your own videos to the system.

Edpuzzle; It is a free teaching tool that allows you to access information such as whether your students have watched your videos, how many of them they watched, how many times they watched each episode and how many points they got.

a) How to Find a Video on Edpuzzle?

1) If you are looking for a ready made video created by another teacher, use the Eddpuzzle search channel under popular channels.

2) You can search for videos by typing your search terms into the search bar at the top.

3) Again, by clicking on the Youtube section under the popular channels, you can search through the search bar here, and you can also go directly to the video editing section by pasting the link of the Youtube video into the search bar.

The aim here is to learn in a fun way and to reinforce the course content. You can find content on many courses and topics on the site, or you can also prepare and use a re-exam (quiz) if you want. What is Storybird? Storybird is a free book creation site. Although its interface is in English, it is very easy to use and is a useful educational tool especially for language teachers such as Turkish, English and German. Students can read created books; They can write their own books, stories and poems. How to use? To read any book published on the Storybird site, it is sufficient to click on the "READ" category at the top when you first enter the site and choose one of the books that appear. If there is a projector or smart board in the classroom, you can easily find a book on the site and read it as a class. However, an account is required to create a book. One of the nice things about it is that the teacher can open an account, create a class, and invite students with the class code. Even parents can be included if desired.
