What Is Jamboard?



Google Jamboard is a tool that creates an interactive whiteboard on the internet, allowing you to create collaborative work with people who connect remotely with this board. Google Jamboard is an educational application owned by Google. It is very useful to collaborate with Jamboard, especially on the whiteboard. Jamboard is a very useful application for teachers who have difficulty in drawing shapes and writing symbols with the mouse in numerical lessons such as Mathematics and Science.

After logging into Google Jamboard via your internet browser or mobile application, we log in with our Google account. If you do not have an account, you can register with your e-mail from the "Create Account" option. Then, when we log in, if we have created a Jam and worked before, our work appears directly.

If you want to create a work, we can create a new area by pressing the + icon at the bottom right. Here we can take advantage of pencil, eraser, stickers, pictures, documents, laser, text box and shape features. If you want to share this work you have done, you can press the "Share" button at the top right.


What are Google Jamboard Features?

This application, which is used during meetings especially in educational institutions and workplaces, has many features. Some of these are listed as follows;

You can save any background and board you want, allowing you to see a board as a fun tool, not just your business.

After searching for anything, you can save it so that you don't lose it. This feature will usually be more useful for you not to forget your notes and documents.

You can store your jamboard by installing the Google Drive application. Thus, Drive will help you when your board's data area is full.

While working, you can invite different users to your Jam room and present your own documents and spreadsheets to him. If you want, you can also send your own documents to your friends through the application.

Another feature is that you can connect to platforms that provide live and video conversations such as Zoom and Google Meet through the application.

You can connect to your Google Jamboard account from your own devices (computer or mobile device). In this way, you will have the chance to manage the board as you wish from a remote location.

 What is Kahoot? What is Kahoot is a website that makes the repetition of the topics covered in the lessons more enjoyable thanks to the joint use of components such as mobile phones, computers, tablets and smart boards. The aim here is to learn in a fun way and to reinforce the course content. You can find content on many courses and topics on the site, or you can also prepare and use a re-exam (quiz) if you want. To summarize, it is an application for interactive online quizzes. Another alternative to Kahoot is Quizizz. In order to use the Kahoot application, we need to create an account. To create a new membership , let's click on the sign up link on the homepage of the Kahoot website . Since we need an account to create Kahoots, let's choose the link as a teacher. What is Storybird? Storybird is a free book creation site. Although its interface is in English, it is very easy to use and is a useful educational tool especially for language teachers such as Turkish, English and German. Students can read created books; They can write their own books, stories and poems. How to use? To read any book published on the Storybird site, it is sufficient to click on the "READ" category at the top when you first enter the site and choose one of the books that appear. If there is a projector or smart board in the classroom, you can easily find a book on the site and read it as a class. However, an account is required to create a book. One of the nice things about it is that the teacher can open an account, create a class, and invite students with the class code. Even parents can be included if desired.
